Cobbett's Wey Decorative & Fine Arts Society

We are a welcoming and enthusiastic society with a passion for exploring the world of art.

At the heart of our programme we organise monthly evening lectures. World experts deliver illustrated talks on a variety of topics including art and artists, architecture and buildings, social history, furniture, glassware, metalwork and jewellery, photography, textiles, ceramics, music and much more.

No prior knowledge is required or expected. The talks are designed to inform and entertain.

It’s a social event, too. We meet once a month on a Wednesday evening at Farnham College, on Morley Road. Come along early and get a friendly welcome: wine and refreshments are available from 7.15 and the talks run from 8 – 9pm.

We also organise tailor-made visits to places of interest. They range from tours of private houses and gardens, special exhibitions, galleries and other sites of historic interest, usually accompanied by a professional guide.

Cobbett’s Wey DFAS is a member society of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Societies. As an individual member you will receive the NADFAS Review, a quarterly magazine containing articles on an exciting range of local and national events, courses and headlining exhibitions. It also carries details of offers and concessions available upon production of your NADFAS membership card. Have a browse through our new season’s lecture programme.

Visitors are always warmly welcomed.
